Tappi Starter Set

My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves her Tappi Play Pen set. She would frequently ask for “magic books” (what she calls them) and start exploring those books on her own. Her favorite ones are the music and animals books, and her favorite language mode is “Mandarin” :).

As an English-Chinese bilingual family in the US, it can be challenging to find well-made, high-quality bilingual books. The Tappi really exceeded my expectations.

The interactive pen and engaging stories/games really foster a child’s curiosity about language, and most importantly reading on their own.
Not only are the books a great resource of early language development, they are also a babysitter. Love them! Please make more books!

Oh my gosh!! I have never seen my son smile so big while reading a book. We are obsessed with these. They are engaging enough for my 5 year old and simple enough for my 2 year old. A genius product!!

Our 1 and 3 year olds both love Tappi—it keeps them independently entertained for long stretches (long by toddler standards, ~30 minutes!) and it’s fun to see how much they enjoy uncovering new things in each book. We have 1 pencil between the two kids so, um, it’s helping build up sharing tolerance. Amazingly, they will take turns with the pencil and even stay engaged when their sibling is in control. The books are durable (our littler one is particularly destructive but the Tappi books remain in great shape). Can’t recommend them enough, we particularly love them as road trip entertainment.

Both of our kids (aged 2 and 1) are loving Tappi, and we read the books all the time! The sounds before each word are great, and our kids have a lot of fun with the hidden easter eggs on every page. The animal book and vehicles are currently their favorites!

My almost three year old loves the music book! She taps the picture then she dances and sings along. This keeps her entertained and I can get a much needed break.

We’re a trilingual family. I speak Mandarin and my husband speaks Spanish. We were thrilled to find the Animal book includes all three, Mandarin, Spanish and English. It’s been a wonderful way for our daughter to pick up new words across all three languages!
