Our Story
Tappi is founded by two moms, who wanted better play for their little ones.
Modern play is at two extremes. Wooden toy brands tell us "tech is bad!", but deliver products that feel more like furniture than fun. Meanwhile, screens and apps were engaging, and bought us a minute - but they were also overstimulating, and we'd feel guilty using them too much.
But… what if we could have the best of both worlds? An experience that feels delightfully tactile, but deeply interactive? Something educational, but also fun?
That's why we made Tappi: interactive books that kids can listen, learn, and play at their own pace.
Tappi is a series of interactive books for toddlers and preschoolers (ages 2–6). With the Tappi Play Pen, each page comes to life with sound, music, and games — helping kids build early literacy skills like vocabulary, comprehension, and imagination.
We built Tappi because we believe in technology used thoughtfully for early childhood education. We want to help parents make the most of their kids’ early years, without the guilt… and without draining their wallets on endless wooden toys and in-app subscriptions.
And the best part? When you need a break, your kids can read it on their own — just by tapping.
We are not here to tell you screens are bad or even books are good. We’re just here to try to create something better, in a world that swings too far in both directions.
We hope you and your kids enjoy it!
