Downloading New Tappi Books
The Tappi Play Pen comes preloaded with a set of books. But as we continue to grow our library of stories and songs, you’ll need to update your pen with these new titles.
You can do this in two ways: downloading the Tappi mobile app, or manually adding files to the Play Pen.

Option 1: Download Tappi Mobile App
If you have an iPhone or iPad, you can download the Tappi mobile app by clicking here. Simply follow the instructions in the app, to connect your Tappi Play Pen to Wi-Fi.
After your pen is connected to Wi-Fi, just tap on the cover of the book to start downloading! It will take a few minutes to download.
Troubleshooting tips:
- Check that Bluetooth is on, and the permission is enabled for the Tappi app.

Double check that the network name and password are correct.
- Make sure the network you are connecting to is 2.4GHz and not 5GHz, as Tappi requires a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi band. If your 2.4G and 5G bands have the same network name, try turning off the 5G network temporarily while you connect the pen.
- Move the Tappi Play Pen closer to the router, and reboot the router if necessary.
Option 2: Manually Adding Book Files
If you don't have an iOS device, or are having difficulties with the mobile app, you can also manually upload the files onto your Play Pen, by following the steps below.
Step 1: Download Your Book Files
Go to the Google Drive link: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/12usRePrCH9qcHDH8tWLIKaw7VxgQq2o6?usp=sharing, and download the BNL files for the new books you’ve purchased:
- Down by the Bay:
62010_SongBook3_EN_V1_0.bnl - We Wish You a Merry Christmas:
62011_SongBook4_EN_V1_0.bnl - (All other books are already pre-loaded onto your Play Pen)
Step 2: Connect Your Play Pen
Plug the USB cable into your Tappi Play Pen — but do not connect it to your computer yet.
Then, press and hold the orange Up button on your Play Pen, while connecting the other end of the USB cable to your computer. Release the Up button once you see a new drive appear on your computer.
Step 3: Open the Pen’s Folders
Click on the newly connected drive called "NO NAME". You’ll see four folders like below. Click to open the folder named EBOOK.
Step 4: Add Your New Book Files
Then copy and paste your new .bnl book files into this folder.
That’s it! Safely eject your pen from the computer. Your new books are now ready to tap and play!
